Change Your Thoughts

I’m currently going through a book called the Millionaire Mind by T.Harv Eker. This book is all about how to reprogram your mind to receive money and to think how rich people think. Believe it or not, ordinary people and rich people think very differently. You see, the only thing that’s usually standing in your way of making money is your own thoughts. Everything starts with your thoughts. If your subconscious is not prepared for it, you will usually end right back up in the exact same position you were in if you do make a large sum of money.

What you don’t realize is you were taught about money when you were a kid. You already have your own views about money whether good or bad. The way you think determines your action which in turn determines your results. Everything you do in life starts with your thought process. Your thoughts lead to feelings which lead to actions that lead to your results.

Here’s an example, if you say to yourself “making money on the internet is hard,” you’re going to start feeling like you can’t do it which turns into you doing nothing at all which means you will get ZERO results. Now were to say things like I’m going to figure this out etc, you start feeling like you can, you start taking action and then you see some results. It’s just that simple. Everything starts with what’s going on inside of your head.

Are You Guilty?

Here are some entrepreneurial mindset examples that will help you identify your thoughts about money. Do you say things like, “I’m saving my money for a rainy day.” or “Money is the root of all evil.” or maybe “Rich people are greedy.” Having these types of thoughts will NOT bring money to you.

The good news is you can reprogram your mind to learn how to accept money. In the video below I share a simple 4 step process that will help you get rid of the bad mindset you might have about money.

  1. You are completely right. I agree entirely with you. Thanks for sharing. Since it is a learned attitude it can easily be unlearned with firm determination. I am going to implement and share this on my social networks.

  2. Absolutely agree with this content! Once we switch how we think about our success, we change our paths!

  3. Couldn’t agree more! It’s all in our mindset and how we look at things! Broke people have a broke mentality by choice and wealthy have a wealth mindset by choice, you are not born broke, you choose to stay that way. Change your mindset and change your life!

  4. Win the lottery & end up broke……mindset is everything. Feeling worthy of receiving large amounts is also needed. People that end up broke after a lottery win never thought they were worthy. That’s a poverty mindset.

  5. I truly believe that our thoughts attract or repel money into our lives. In order for us to receive money, we must first begin to let money know that we love it; because of what it can do for us. Great Post Decerco!!

  6. Powerful share Dereco!! I was one of those people who was taught at a young age that rich were greedy people and money is the root of all evil. It’s definitely a mindset shift to break away from that stuff that was embedded into your mind as a child but it definitely puts you into a different vibration.

  7. Thoughts are energy and you get what you put out! The sooner we learn that is not enough to just do the work but we also need to channel our thoughts and energy in the direction that will allow us to reach our goals, the faster we get there. It’s all in the mind.

  8. Growing up as a Catholic and attending Catholic school we were told by the nuns that being poor was the only way to get into Heaven.

And that mentality was seared into my mindset for a long time.

What shifted for me was realizing that the nuns made a choice because they had a vision to embrace the life of poverty, chastity, and obedience…

I CHOOSE to lead a life of prosperity so I can be a blessing to others…

    Great post Dereco!

    1. This is a great example Dr Lisa, like i mentioned in the post above, your environment has a big influence on how you view money. That’s powerful how you realized that it was all a choice and you changed it.

  9. This is the point I missed when I started my business, I didn’t change my mindset, THis starts to change slowly when you start associating with people who do what do you want to do and learning from them.
Thank you for reminding me of that.

    1. I personally think it all starts with mindset. That is one of the very first things I work on with my coaching clients is getting their mindset right. Appreciate the comment and for you stopping by Lusekelo!
