Why Is Personal Branding Important 

Imagine you’ve built up a team of 1,000’s of people from all over the world. The checks are rolling in, and you are on top of the world life is good, and then the unthinkable happens. Your company decides to change up the compensation plan, or even worse they decide to close up shop. When you brand yourself to just your company, you are essentially putting all of your eggs in one basket.

These types of things happen with network marketing companies all the time. This is the number one reason why you want to create and work on your brand.

Your brand is what attract people to you and makes them want to join you in your business. When you build your business using this method, you can go to any company, and your people will usually go with you.

When you see people ranking up so fast as soon as they join a company, this is how they are doing it. They have built their brand and have a following.

Most network marketers who are trying to build their business online only push their company. You see it all over their social media profiles.When you give away your company, you lose all curiosity and what usually ends up happening is the person who is thinking about purchasing or joining your business does a little research on your company.

They will often find the word scam associated with the company and form their opinion of the company based on that information.

Would it not be better if you could be the one to expose them to your company through a presentation? Network marketers continue to blast their company name all over the place and wonder why no one is signing up.

How To Get Started Building Your Brand Online

So now you might be wondering how in the heck do you get started with building your brand online. Figure out who is going to be your target audience. Don’t try and just recruit any and everyone into your business. Go after less people to get more results. Or in other words be as specific as possible when choosing your target audience. Here is a training on how to figure out who your target audience is going to be.

Your target audience does not have to be permanent. You can change it at any time. Just don’t try and be all things to all people.

Personal Branding Strategy

My suggestion would be, focus on educating your audience. You don’t have to talk about your company but instead, talk about how you just learned a new closing technique. Or you learned how to prospect a little better. All these things are what will start to attract your target audience to you.

I learned a simple technique from Ray Higdon. He teaches the ILT method. That stands for invest, learn, and teach. You invest your time or money into learning a new skill. You learn the new skill then you turn around and teach that new skill.

This is the exact method that I use to come up with content here on my blog. I’ve invested money and time into learning new skills and getting better with network marketing and marketing online. I turn around and share that information with you all.

Here are some personal brand examples, my target audience is network marketers who are trying to build their business online, that is who I am trying to attract.

If you are in a skin care mlm, you could become the expert in skin care by providing solutions to people looking for skin care help.

You don’t own your social media profile but you can own your blog and your marketing list. The one thing that I wish I would have done sooner when I got started online would be blogging. My blog and marketing list are my two biggest assets in my business.

Do This Instead

Your primary goal should be with building a relationship with your prospects. Don’t look at them with dollar signs in your eyes. See how you can help them, solve a problem they are having. Stop looking for the easy way because there isn’t one. Reach out to your prospect on the phone or through email and find out how you can be of service to them.

    If you have a unique message to share and you are really helpful, a lot of us will follow you and want to connect with you.

    On the other hand, people that have a lot of things to give have a lot of followers and connections.
    Also, I should mention that the idea of using your full name as your website domain name is also important when you are branding your name.
    Make sure, please, that you have consistency in what you do as you build your brand. In fact, this will help your followers to recognize you easily.
