Connect With Your Leads Like A Pro

If you want better conversations with your leads you have to connect with them like a professional would. So here is what I suggest, first make sure you have a lead capture page or giveaway. It has to be something of value in exchange for peoples contact information.

An easy way to come up with a giveaway is to simply solve a problem your target audience has, for example, my target audience is network marketers, they struggle with finding people to talk to about their business so I have a free audio 13 ways to generate leads online.

Who is your target audience? What is a common problem they struggle with? What solution can you come up with to solve that problem?

Next, you are going to need a CRM (Customer Relationship Manager.) This is just a piece of software where you can take notes on your conversations, set reminders and a host of other things.

Yea you could use notebook and piece of paper, but you could lose it, it could get destroyed. With an online CRM, it’s always available to you no matter where you are at.

Back in the day, you had to know how to code web pages to get a capture page up, CRM’s has come a long way as well.  I was fortunate enough to find this online marketing system that had all of this in addition to all the online marketing training on how to build my network marketing business in one place.

The last thing you’ll need is an auto-responder. I recommend using Aweber, this is what I use. An auto-responder allows you to communicate with a large number of people (their email addresses,) at one time.

This is your marketing list, your most valuable asset that you will have online.

What Are The Best Leads

There are two kinds of leads. The ones you go out and buy and self-generated one’s.

In my opinion, the leads that YOU generate are best. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with buying leads, in fact if you have a fear of talking on the phone buying leads is a great way to get over that fear.

Bought leads have no clue of who you are and sometimes they don’t even know how you got their contact information.

But self-generated leads, oh man, big difference. They already know you to some extinct either through a video or piece of content that you’ve put out.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten on the phone with people who were excited to talk to me.

The key thing to remember is self-generated leads have reached out to YOU. Big difference between you reaching out to them or buying leads.

Some Conversation Tips

When you are talking to your prospects your number one goal is to see if you can identify a problem. If you don’t know where they are struggling you can’t help them. Ask them things like, “How are you doing with generating leads?” and let them talk.

Ask them what kind of results are they getting. Let them tell you their pain points so you can offer them a solution.

When I prospect, someone, I like to ask if they are open to looking at a side project. If they say yes, I always ask them why.

I’ll say, “Why are you open to looking at a side project right now. Has something changed in your life?”
