Online MLM Tips For Beginners

When I came online a few years ago, I had no clue of how this online marketing thing worked. If someone would have asked me what a capture page was they would have gotten a blank stare from me.

It wasn’t until I plugged into marketing system that taught me how the pieces fitted together AND it kept me up to date with the ever-changing marketing strategies out here.

My First Video

The one thing I noticed was that people online having success were doing videos. I knew I should have been doing them but I procrastinated big time. I kept telling myself I needed a new camera. So I went out and got a hand held camera.

I told myself I just needed to through this last course then I would do my video. And you know what, I still didn’t do anything, infact it took me almost an entire year before I shot my first video.

Here is what I did, I woke up one day, turned on my phone camera (It was a Blackberry at the time) and pressed record. I can’t tell you the relief I felt getting that first video out of the way. But I realized it wasn’t that bad at all. And the more I did videos the easier they got.

So if you are hung up on doing video, the best advice I can give you is just do it.

How To Do Your Videos

When doing video marketing you want to try and keep your videos short. I would suggest 3-5 minutes. People’s attention span is short, so keep your videos short and get to the point. I wouldn’t go any longer unless you’ve built up an audience.

Here is how to structure your videos, especially if you are just starting out.

1. Introduction-Say your name and maybe where you are from. Assume the person watching the video have no clue of who you are. Here is what I say, “This is Dereco Cherry from DerecoCherry.com.” Or I will say something like “This is Dereco Cherry coming to you from my home office here in Kernersville NC.”

2. Ask a question-You want to tell the person why they should stay and watch your video. Asking a question is a great way to do it. You can say something like, “Do you struggle with prospecting strangers for your network marketing business?”

3. Answer the question you just asked. This is where the meat of your video is at, the goal of answering the question is to teach the person watching something.

4. Have a call to action (CTA). At the end of the video tell the person what you want them to do next. The goal here is to get them to become a lead by telling them to click a link or if you don’t have anything setup you can simply tell them to email you or reach out to you on Facebook or something.
