So I was going through some training in the back office of the marketing system I’m using, and there was a training on how to recruit leaders into your mlm.
One of the points they talked about was how to guarantee your success.
Before you can have any success with prospecting, you need to get your mind right. You have to believe in yourself and your business BEFORE anyone will join you.
So how do you get your mind right? Here are two simple questions I learned that you can ask yourself,
- Do people make money in network marketing?
- Are they making the kind of money and have the kind of lifestyle you want?
Knowing the answer to these two questions will help you have the right mindset about mlm. So when someone tries to talk trash about what you are doing, it won’t have any effect on you because you know what truth.
Not everyone is going to support your journey and that is ok. You must have ZERO doubt about your business.
When A prospect ask you if it’s network marketing, your response should be, “yea, I wouldn’t be doing it if it wasn’t.”
If you are not mentally all in with what you are doing people can and will pick up on it and they won’t buy or join you.

Stop Being Scared
Listen I get, yea it can be scary prospecting. It’s going to suck, but you know what else sucks? Not sharing your business opportunity that could possibly help that person get out of a tough situation they are in.
I was scared as hell doing my first video. But I just turned my camera on and did it anyway. And you know what, it got easier the more videos I recorded. Now I have ZERO fear of getting on the camera.
Fear is what is holding so many people back from having success in their business. They are afraid of what people might think or say. Fear will prevent you from doing the simple things you know you should be doing to keep your business moving forward.
Keys To Prospecting
Prospecting is the number one income producing activity that you can do for your business. Here are some suggestions that will help you.
- Understand that network marketing is a numbers game. Not everyone you talk to is going to join your business.
- Don’t be afraid to disqualify someone, don’t have any type of emotional attachment to the outcome.
- Make prospecting about them and not about you.
- Ask your prospect more questions.
How To Invite Someone To A Presentation
You have your cold market and you have your warm market. Your invite is going to be totally different for each one.
With your warm market, I suggest you just ask them to come out and check out what you are doing. Be upfront, tell them what it is all about. Don’t be shady with it. Tell them some of the benefits of your product and the business.
With your warm market, you can get away with this approach because they already know you.
If they say no be ok with it, not everyone is going to support you and one person is not going to make or break your business.
Your cold market is going to be a bit different. The biggest key here is to ask questions and whatever you do don’t pitch them during the prospecting phase. Your only goal is to find out if they are open or not.
Don’t even tell them the company name.
The one common thing I will tell you about your warm market and your cold market is to let the tools do the work. What I mean is let your company DVD or online presentation do all the explaining for you.
