Three Myths About The Best MLM Company To Make Money

Best MLM Company To Make Money

Not sure if you can make money in network marketing?

Check out this post where I share three myths about the best MLM company to make money in.

Making MLM Work Online

If you just started building your network marketing business, there is a good chance you were told to make a list of your family, friends, co-workers, basically anyone you know that is breathing. While I highly suggest that you do this, there are a few key things you need to keep in mind.

The list of people you know is going to run out at some point, most of the time sooner than later. So what are you going to do once you get to the end of that list?

Well, I was in that exact position when I came online a few short years ago looking for ways to build my business using the internet. What I found was a way to position my products and services in front of people who already like the network marketing profession. All of this is done using a little secret that all top earners online use.

The secret is attraction marketing, and you can learn more about it by going here.

What Is The Best MLM To Make Money In?

The best company to make money in is the one you are in right now. If you don’t grow your skills it won’t matter what company you go to, if you suck at one changing companies or joining multiple companies won’t change your results.

You have to become a better person, you do that by investing in yourself with training, coaching, books, and courses. I always find it amusing when someone tells me their last company didn’t work because of this or that. No, it didn’t work because YOU didn’t work.

Why Most People Fail

Most people fail in network marketing, not because of the product or service but because they quit. They prospect a few people, get told no and then they turn around and say this thing doesn’t work. Then they get the idea, oh I just need to join a different business and things are going to be different.

So if network marketing doesn’t work, why is that some people have a lot of success while others struggle?

When you join a network marketing company we have access to the same company training, same products, same compensation plan. We are all on the same playing field.

Having the wrong expectations will cause you and people you recruit to quit, That’s why I highly suggest you stay away from the hype. Don’t tell people this business is easy, don’t tell them they are going to get rich quick. Let them know up front, it’s going to take a lot of work and if they stay at it they can build a nice residual income in a few years.

Back when I first started network marketing I didn’t know crap about personal development, how to prospect anyone, nothing. I just knew the business I was in at the time was the best thing since sliced bread.

I did home meetings and traveled around to show the presentation. I went on to rank advance several times and actually started to make some money.

I didn’t do anything special, I had zero skills. I just kept showing the presentation.

I think this is where most people get hung up. They don’t show their presentation enough. Instead, they talk too much.

When they do find someone who’s interested, they throw up all over them instead of letting the tools do the work.

Simple Things To Do If You Are Brand New

Here are some tips for you if you are just starting out.

  1. Always let your tools do the heavy lifting for you. Your prospects are paying attention to you approach them. If you show a fancy powerpoint presentation they are going to think they have to do that as well.
  2. Say less to more people. Stop giving presentations on the spot. Instead set an appointment, follow up with them later and give them a website, DVD or a phone call as a way to expose them to your business.
  3. Have patience. You won’t get rich off a traditional business in 6 months or even a year, network marketing is no different.
  4. Don’t worry about it when your prospects tell you no.  When someone tells you no, don’t ever try and convince them to see things your way, that will never work. Instead, tell them thank you and move on to the next.

Don’t Do This

Most new network marketers know nothing about marketing, heck we all have to start from somewhere. They tend to lead with a lot of hype. Usually with things like “ground floor” and “zero debt” and if you are reading this and are guilty of doing this type of lazy marketing it’s ok because you didn’t know any better.

So let me help you out here when you say things like “ground floor opportunity” or “my company has zero debt” that means nothing to your prospect. Think about this, how does telling this help them with their goals or solves any problem they might have?

It doesn’t. Do you even know what your prospect’s goals and dreams are? You see, when you approach prospecting from what your prospects want instead of what you want, your recruiting will get a lot better.

Your company could have the best mlm compensation plan, but if you don’t know how to talk to people or prospect that won’t matter. Here is a training on cold market prospecting I put together that goes a bit deeper.

  1. I remember the first MLM I joined in 1995 – Kevin Trudeau’s Nutrition for Life – in the presentation and training videos he did, he shared how he enrolled his friend Jack and built a downline under Jack.

Kevin told us to promote the spillover concept by sharing the story of Jack.

Here’s the deal. Jack did nothing to grow the business. And when I promoted this way, I did get people to sign up, but they did nothing because they expected me to build it for them.

Knowing what I know now, I focus more on how my company’s products and services can help them solve a problem rather than selling spillover.

    1. How you present your business to your prospects is how they think they will need to build their business. I like to be up-front and tell them it’s going to be hard work but worth it if they stick with it.

I remember when I joined my first mlm I made sooooo many mistakes it wasn’t even funny but I learned a lot and know even more now.

  2. Yes I’ve done the “100 of your friends & family list” & it failed miserably. I was never told about personal development, I had to find that out for myself.
As soon as you mention “work” 90% of prospects run for the hills.
Nowadays I’m looking to solve a prospects problem & for my business to be the solution.
