To create network marketing leads online while you sleep, you need to create videos on YouTube, blog commenting, start your own blog or post articles in directories. You want to educate your target audience and provide value. At the end of all of your content, you want to have a call to action (CTA). Your call to action should send them to your capture page where you can collect their name and email address. If you don’t have a capture page, a good call to action is to tell people to email you. This is how you build your marketing list.
How To Create Network Marketing Leads Online While You Sleep
Think of generating leads while you sleep like passive income. You do the work one time and the leads keep coming in whether you do anything or not. If done right, you can generate leads years on down the road from work you’ve done just once.
When you’re first getting started with online marketing I think you should be doing active prospecting. That’s where you’re reaching out to people to see if they are open to taking a look at your business and or product or service.
But let’s be honest here, active prospecting gets old. You are essentially starting over from zero every day. And besides who wants to throw home parties all the time or constantly talking to strangers trying to drum up some business.
Don’t get me wrong, I think active prospecting is a great way to get some momentum going in your business at first. I do suggest you learn how to generate leads online and combine the two.
The main key to generating network marketing leads online is to give out free education.
What problem of your target audience can you solve?
Put those answers in the form of content with a strong call to action (CTA) and you’ll generate more leads than you have time.
Start Your Own Self-Hosted Blog?
To me, nothing beats blogging when it comes to generating leads online. It does take some time for things to pick up. But if you’re willing to put in the work and stay consistent, blogging will work months even years on down the road.
I get leads and sales from posts I’ve written over a year ago. Some even longer.
The biggest thing I would suggest before you write your first blog post is to identify your target audience. Ask yourself, who would benefit the most from your product or service and don’t say, everybody.
If your company is a health and wellness, who would benefit from your product the most? Someone looking to lose weight or someone looking to do more traveling?
Figure that out first.
Also, make sure you have a way to capture your visitor’s name and email address. Email collecting is called list building. Your list is the most valuable thing that you can have when it comes to an online business.
To get people to put their information in your capture form you need to have some type of give of FREE give away. A PDF, audio, Bootcamp, something that solves a problem your target audience is having.
How To Get Your Blog Started
Here is how to get your blog started in three simple steps:
- Buy your domain name.
- Purchase hosting.
- Install a theme with your capture page.
- Start writing your blog post.
It’s really that simple. If you are not familiar with technology, you can hire someone on Fiverr to do it for you in just a few days. Or get someone you know that has a little tech background to set it up for you. Don’t ever let technology hold you back. You can always pay someone a few bucks and get just about anything you need to get done.
I screwed up and made my first blog, took me months to get it just right (It will never be just right). I should have just paid someone to do it for me.
Create YouTube Videos
YouTube is owned by Google.
Google is built on search so that makes YouTube built on search as well. What this means is when someone sits down at their computer and types in a question, there’s a good chance a YouTube video will come back as the answer to that question.
YouTubes videos have just as much leverage as a blog post. They stay out there forever and can bring you leads and sales months and years on down the road.
Lead with education in your videos, don’t talk about your company or product or service but instead give out tips, and talk about what problems your product or service will solve.
I use a simple four-step process in all my videos.
- Content (Answer the question)
- Call to action (CTA)
Make sure in your YouTube description you put a link to your capture page.
Ideally, you’ll write 1 to 2 sentences and then put your link. Also make sure you fill up the description area with what the video is about. This helps with getting your video to rank higher with Google.
And to take this a step further you can embed your YouTube videos on your blog.
You’ll drive even more people to your website.
How To Setup Your YouTube Channel
When setting up your YouTube channel, keep it generic. What I mean is don’t have your company name or product anywhere on your channel.
Instead, have a picture of you.
Have an intro video telling your visitors what your channel is all about. You can check out mine if you would like to see what I’m talking about. You’ll need to subscribe first to see it.
Leave Blog Comments
Blogging commenting is a great way to generate leads in your sleep that don’t too many people talk about.
With blog commenting you first want to make sure you’re leaving comments on blogs that are related to your niche. For example, I wouldn’t want to leave blog comments on a dog lovers website. That wouldn’t be congruent to my target audience.
Make sure you leave a good comment too. None of this “Great post.” and that’s it crap either. My good friend Bubbie Gunter put together an awesome resource on blog commenting that you should go check out.
What you want to do is leave comments that add some value to the article. You can expand on the blog post or ask additional questions.
I look at blogging commenting as a type of first impression so you want to make it count.
When you leave a great comment you’ll make people want to come over to your blog and check out what you have going on.
Post Articles In Directories
This strategy was very popular back in the day. Now it’s not as effective as it once was but it still works.
There are places called article directories where you can post articles. In those articles, you can put links back to your blog.
Just like any other platform, the key here is to make your article helpful to the reader. Nobody wants to read about how your company is ground floor or how great your compensation plan.
Content Creation Tips
The main thing to keep in mind when creating content no matter which strategy you use is don’t ever mention your company name and always lead with education. When you say your company name you lose all curiosity with your audience. They can go out and Google your company name without ever talking to you.
You don’t need to be an expert or have massive results to start teaching.
People don’t care about that, people only care about what’s in it for them. So make all of your content around giving your target audience what they want.
