Why Blog?

Coming online a few years ago, I kept hearing the leaders talking about branding yourself. At the time I had no clue of how important it was to brand myself much less anything about blogging.

But what I did learned was blogging is the fastest way to become an authority no matter what network marketing business you are building. It is also the number one way to generate leads online in my opinion. Leads that you generate through blogging and creating content are usually higher quality, unlike buying leads. Bought leads have no clue of who you are and sometimes they don’t even know how you got their name or number.

Blogging is not the fastest way to generate leads. Paid marketing through Google or Facebook would be the quickest way but there is a learning curve to that type of marketing.

Also once you stop paying for your ads to run they will stop showing your content.

Not with blogging. Once you hit the publish button, your blog post stays out on the internet virtually forever just waiting for someone to find it.

When I first got started with blogging, I did not see any results. You see, blogging is a long-term strategy. It will take some time for you to see some results from your efforts.

I can’t remember exactly, but it took me a few months before I even generated my first lead. Now they come in just about every day.

Two Ways To Build

There are two ways to build your network marketing business, and that’s through marketing or prospecting.

Marketing is where you put a piece of content out there, and the goal is to get someone to respond to it and reach out. Prospecting is where you are reaching out to people, finding out if they are open to take a look at your business.

Like I mentioned above blogging is a long-term strategy that will take some time to pick up. If you want things to move a bit faster, I suggest you learn marketing and do prospecting at the sametime.

How To Set Up A Blog On Facebook

Here is the secret about setting up a blog on Facebook…you can’t. Facebook is a social media platform. People use it to stay connected with their family and friends.

So instead of wanting to blog on Facebook, you should be looking just to add your blog to Facebook.

Think about it like this, when was the last time you searched for something online and you found someone’s post on Facebook? Probably never.

What you want to happen is when someone sits down at their computer and type in a question or starts to look for information, you want your blog post to show up.

This invloves doing proper keyword research for your blog post to help make sure they get found on the search engines.

Adding your blog to Facebook is a strategy that I use in my online business. Every time I publish a post I make sure to put a link to it on my fan page. Check out my page to see how I do it, make sure you give me a like while you are there.

Personal Blog vs.Facebook

There are a couple of different ways to start your blog and a few different platforms that you can set one up on. There is some consideration you should know before deciding which one is right for you.

I will keep this short, if you are looking to build your network marketing business online you want a self-hosted WordPress blog. This will require a small monthly investment. If your goals fall outside of monitizing your blog then the free blogs that are out here would be the way to go.
