If you just started building your network marketing business, there is a good chance you were told to make a list of your family, friends, co-workers, basically anyone you know that is breathing. While I highly suggest that you do this, there are a few key things you need to keep in mind.

The list of people you know is going to run out at some point, most of the time sooner than later. So what are you going to do once you get to the end of that list?

Well, I was in that exact position when I came online a few short years ago looking for ways to build my business using the internet. What I found was a way to position my products and services in front of people who are already sold on network marketing. All of this is done using a little secret that all top earners online use.

Some creative ways to make money

Since I have been marketing online, I’ve heard just about every excuse there is when it comes to people starting their home based business. One of the more common one that I get is, “I don’t have the money.” All that means is that you are not serious at all.

I know for me when it’s something that I want to purchase, and I don’t have the money, I find all kinds of different ways that I can come up with it.

I start thinking, is there something I can sell, a service I could provide, wash cars whatever. When it’s something that you want, you won’t make excuses for why you can’t do it. Instead of saying you don’t have the money, start saying things like, how can I come up with it?

I remember one of the things I gave up a few years ago and that was cable tv. I was paying almost 200 dollars a month. I turned it off and started using that money to invest into myself with courses, books, and training to increase my marketing skills.

One thing I would highly suggest is to find something where you can leverage your time and pays you some residual income. Residual income is where you still earn money if you work or not. Pretty cool right?

What I Did To Make Money

One thing that most people who don’t know me personally don’t know is that I have a background in IT (Information Technology) aka computers. I remember when I got out of school, all I wanted to do was work on computers. So I would run craigslist ads telling people I would clean off viruses and reinstall software, basically repair their computers for them for a flat fee and I did ok with it.

I also had owned a sweepstakes business at one point in time. It was a pretty significant investment and a lot of work to get it up and running. I did ok with it too but quickly realized the danger of operating one. Sweepstakes are high targets on robbers list since cash is almost always present in them.

The point I’m making is I’ve always had the mindset on ways I could increase my cash flow.

But there was some things that I did not like about it, one, having computers piled up at your house can get a bit messy and two unless I was working on someone’s computer I was not making any money. And that got me thinking early about how I can best leverage my time and how I was making money. I figured there had to be a better way.

What I Found

I guess it’s more like what found me, I was introduced to my very first network marketing company by a friend. This was the perfect business model. Low cost to start and I could work the business from anywhere. Network marketing is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you are looking to make money from home online, joining a network marketing business and learning how to marketing online is simply in my opinion the best combination out there.
